Griffith Helping Hands gratefully accepts quality pre-loved and new items to help support vulnerable families. Before donating, please check that your items meet our guidelines below. We want to ensure that every family we assist receives safe, clean, and practical essentials.

Clothing

  • Clean and neatly folded
  • Bagged by size and gender
  • No stains, damage or excessive wear

Bedding

  • Clean and neatly folded
  • Labelled with the size (single, queen, king etc)
  • Labelled as individual sheets or complete sets
  • Doonas labelled with their size and weight/season

Kitchen Items

  • In good, useable condition
  • No cracks, chips, or broken pieces

Electrical Items

  • In good, useable condition
  • Not require any repairs or maintenance

Health & Hygiene

  • Must be in their original, unopened packaging

Car Seats

  • Car Seats:
    Look for a sticker displaying the Australian Safety Standard, along with a date of manufacture sticker on the side or bottom of the restraint. The manufacturer and model should be clearly visible
  • Comply with Australian Safety Standard AS/NZS 1754
  • Under 8 years old
  • In good condition, with no discolouration of the shell, frayed or broken straps, damaged buckles, or structural issues.
  • Include the instruction manual if you have it
  • Clean and ready to use
